Hiking in East Tyrol: From leisurely to strenuous – East Tyrol offers countless hiking trails for all ages and all levels of difficulty. There are also more than 200 mountain huts and mountain inns and partly untouched nature between crystal-clear mountain lakes.

Fishing
East Tyrol is a true paradise for fishing enthusiasts. They even come from Italy, Switzerland and Holland to the wild and romantic mountain streams or to the quieter banks of the larger rivers to catch one of the 33 species of fish that live here.

White water rafting
A guaranteed unforgettable experience, and a real adventure for younger vacationers too. Safely packed in wetsuits, life jackets and helmets, nothing stands in the way of having fun together on East Tyrol’s showpiece river, the Isel.

Canyoning
An adventure with a high fun factor that requires a bit of courage. Wearing special wetsuits and equipped with a climbing harness and rope, we descend next to thundering waterfalls. A highlight are the jumps into the crystal-clear “pools”.

Summer toboggan run
The OSTTIRODLER in Lienz is a summer toboggan run in a class of its own! From the Moosalm it is 2.7 km downhill to the Hochstein Arena finish. The spectacular Alpine Coaster is even open in winter.

Directly from the Tassenbacherhof you can explore the East Tyrol vacation region with your own muscle power on more than 500 km of cycle and mountain bike trails.
